Transfer box locking kits
Description
Lock your own transfer box with this simple and cheap solution.

The biggest problem with the transfer box is the clutch pack becomes worn and slips, the debris in the unchanged oil will drastically affect the life of the epicyclic gear system until eventually it will destroy itself, if however it continues to work and the oil is changed once the clutch is so far worn it allows the clutch pressure piston to push past its seal allowing PAS oil to fill the box and pour out of the breather hose.

The locked methods i have seen else where just fit an extra clutch plate or two, this is all well and good but once any slippage begins to occur the slip WILL get worse and worse as there is no moving pressure piston to take up the wear. My option WILL NOT ever begin to slip, WILL not ever cause debris in the oil.

Each locking ring kit consists of 5 laser profiled clutch replacement gears and a cd rom with full instructions on how to fit them also on the cd is the Vauxhall 4x4 manual in pdf format.

Each kit is ÂŁ75 with free postage.

Cheers people.

The worst part is actually taking the box out, if its a task you can do then allow a day to do this but wou will need to change the PAS pipes so as to bypass the Acc block, and disconnect the 4wd ecu.

really need one of these can you quote me on a price for you to send a set to Perth Western Australia 6057
Hi, yes i can do this, i have sent them to aus before if i remember correctly it wasnt too expensive.
Send me an Email with the address please.

Stupid question,

If you fit a locking kit to the transfer box, can you then convert to rear wheel drive ?
NO.

The box has a Viscous coupling inside it, if you were to lock this as well, then come up with a blanking plate for the two front wheel drive shafts it could be done but i wouldn't advise it.
Buy a carlton GSI or a manta would be much easier
