Providing you can identify the oil gallery properly, and of course clean it out ok afterwards, I dont see why that cant be done to a LET block, im sure there is oil in about the same place.

which engine are those from ? E36 318iS look similar but not the same. also, do these have a pressure valve inside so they only squirt when high pressure?

those courtney ones look like vw diesel squirters too so easy to buy

Stupid question alert. Do they just bolt to the block and squirt the under side of the pistons?
How exactly do they work as they look pretty small. Does something else connect to them or is what you see in the picture the complete setup?

for do this we take a old block and found the gallery of oil

now i friend of my suggest use a Xray to do this,

im coming up to this stage with my LET, ive got my block on the stand ill have a look. ive even bought the squirters new to do the drilling the mains way but a cross flow engineer i know thinks its a bad idea. He said that the force of when on the exaust/inlet stroke the piston gets throw up the bore then yanked back and when this happens the crank gets an upward force that hard, and he showed me the upper shell (the one thats over the drilled part) the pressure has pressed an imprint of the lines in the block on the back of the shell when it got first machined when new, so he thinks they could break up basically.
