How to tell what type rack is fitted to my cali?

Hi

The rack on my calibra turbo is bust, and im getting a new one fitted..
Thing is, ive been told there are two different types on the turbo, and they both have different shaped fitments for the steering columb..

Is there a way of finding out what one i have , as i want to buy the replacement before i start the job??
Ive been told you cannot tell by the part no ect!!

Later ones are less turns, lock to lock. That's all I can tell you.

Your best bet is to find somebody with a really early one, or really late - and compare with them.

The type is stamped on the rack just under the brake servo.. ZF is the type i have.

As for seeing the differences with the steering column... i believe one is a spline fitting and the other a square hole with matching square end of column.

Not 100% without looking at mine tho.
