Difference between 7j and 7.5j alloys...?

Whats the difference when alloy wheels say for example:

7jx18"
7.5jx18"

that .5 being what exactly? The profile of the alloy wheel itself? If so..can a cav use 7jx18" or do they have to use 7.5jx18"?

The width of the rim itself. 7.0 is narrower than 7.5 You'll get both on a Cav turbo providing you have a compatible offset. Means you can fit wider than a 205...205 is about max for a 7j rim I think. Might be able to get 215 on there.

hmm well the wheels are 7jx18" et49

and 215x35x18's tyres supposedly...
