Dash lights !!!

I can not understand this, when i switch the ignition on i get no lights on dashboard, but when i start the engine i get the battery light bulb on. The volt guage shows 13.7 volts.

Can someone help, it was fine yesturday. :mad: :mad:

Sounds like the ignition switch is on it`s way out... mounted behind the ignition barrel.

Try putting key in and turning to position 2 (or whatever it is when u normally get your dash lights on) and jiggle the key about (in and out, up and down, side to side) and see if you lights come on, flicker or any sign of life.

Also remove the cowling from around the steering column to gain access to afore mentioned ignition switch and make sure it`s securely mounted onto the barrel, make sure it`s not flopping about or working its way off/away from the barrel.

As above - could well be ignition switch.

Also worth checking the fuses as there is a common one that supplies most of the dashboard and cigarette lighter.
