mounts look good, protec have my mounts now so im waiting to hear back if they have a solution or not. if not i'll copy you and get the hockley kit, altho theyre very pricey.

is that a fibreglass ducting kit you have? if so where from and how much? as i want one, protec only list carbon on the website.
It would seem H&H do a GRP one in the body panel section. Do you reckon it would fit ok with a C20XE?

Protec supplied the fibreglass induction kit. Not sure how much it was. As suggested, Hockleys do them for 130ish so don't expect Protec are far away.
Well worth it in my opinion, colder air= a little bit of cheap power (though it's not much good for when you're stood still at the stage start and would welcome some more power!).

The mounts aren't cheap but couldn't wait. Needed to get them sorted so shell can go for painting and we can put the car together. It's 6 months since we did an event, seriously missing the forests!
Full set of HH mounts are 300 so see what Protec come up with. HH will split a set if you don't need the rear mount (your nova one may fit?). From experience though the mounts are fit and forget, though we did crack/snap the o/s arm that is supplied on an earlier car but think something had hit it and started it on it's way.

Can't see why the air kit wouldn't work with a 2.0. don't know exactly how high they sit in a corsa but the induction kit probably doesn't sit much more than 50mm below the bonnet. HH or Protec would be happy to advise I'm sure.

Anyone know of a Hockley fabricated front suspension setup that's for sale or late type hockley bottom ball joints (larger hole spacing)?

I thought I recognised the 2nd photo of the engine bays above, that's my engine bay with the heater in it, drying the paint! That was when I first built my rally car!

Project is looking good by the way!

Looking good so far. Are the standard engine mounts a total waste of time?
Was going to keep mine as standard for the time being but not so sure now.
Good thread this for Corsa virgins such as myself.

In my opinion it depends what you're using it for and I suppose on power too. Ideally you don't want the engine moving about too far.
I've had sucess and problems with standard and competition but would admit that the failures experienced with standard mounts could have been avoided if we'd looked/checked the car properly at the end of previous events. You can replace a lot of standerd mounts for the price of competition ones. But the standard mounts are soft and the engine will have lots of freedom to move about.
Probably not much help! I guess it depends largely on personal circumstance.
Could give the standard mounts a chance and keep an eye on them?

Thanks for the info, will give the standard mounts a chance but will make sure i have spares for events.
Are all the latest bits such as the guards and boot etc from Protec?

Eurorallye has a hh/pilbeam type setup for sale for around ÂŁ600.
I have no ties to Eurorallye incidentally just looks a good deal. It has been on his site for a while now so a deal might be possible.

Cold air induction kit fitted to bonnet. Simple enough job to do (suprisingly!).

Shell picked up this week after blasting and set up ready for painting.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you get the exhaust manifold from and how much was it?
It came with the engine as part of the package. I believe it's a Bill Falconer manifold. His website says ÂŁ255.
Nice peice of kit.

Not much to report Kenny.
The guy we had lined up has been busy so in the end we bit the bullet and Dave and his old man (pictured) etch primed her up as she was starting rust in places. Also a bit of time has been spent on sorting the rear quarters which rippled when I welded the sill stand tubes in, and filling a few dents. They've done a good job.
Seams are sealed and she's sat waiting for someone to paint. Not going to tackle this ourselves.
Frustrating that we haven't started putting it back together by now. Target is the Quinton in July but looking doubtfull.:(

Been cleaing bits up and started getting the car back together.

Stripped the bias box down, cleaned, painted, and rebuilt. Glad we did it as the mount that holds the pedal on had started to fracture so swapped it for a new pedal from another corsa. Cleaned and painted some other bits and peices before bolting them on.

Fitted the battery and electric fire extinguisher. Massive thanks to Sabelt.co.uk for the extinguisher.

Fitted some other bits. The foot trays are a bit of a pain though and need some chopping.

excellent work. i like the wee brackets youve made for the header tank and pull cords, im going to have to make the same so good to see someone elses versions.

also does the corsa B epas fit onto any corsa B steering column bracket? i have a corsa C column modified to fit a nova that i was going to use but theres no point cutting things about. i'll be able to sell the one i have to cover the cost of the correct one.

The header tank bracket isn't great but it'll do the trick until an ally tank replaces it, just want to get the thing together. The pull cord mount is a good set up though and it's shaped for the modded cabin air intake that fits under the scuttle. The old shell was supposedly a Ralloy car and as such had quite a few nice ally bits on.

Not sure on the epas, the column mount has been chopped about a bit so it fits, but not sure of the origins of it. The ecu that is with it doesn't look like it's from a B though.
