Hi, ive got a complete engine from a phase 2 vectra b gsi, 2.5 v6, at my disposal. Im toying with buying a mk3/mk4 astra/corsa b/vectra b with a dead engine and fitting to it as a cheap project.

Ive never owned/worked on a vauxhall v6 engine before, so dont know alot regarding common mods/tuning potential etc etc (im small block through and through)
Heard of people fitting 3.0 cams and uprated FPR, thats about it really.

At the moment the idea of a home brew itb setup using bike bodies and megasquirt or similar really appeals, as in theory it could be done fairly cheaply (not to mention sound rather nice!)

Anybody able to help?

Is there another vauxhall flywheel that could be fitted? as ive read the std one is heavy (due to some countrys requiring the car to idle low to meet emissions standards)

Edit: Came across this: YouTube - Supercharged Vectra GSI

any info on it? (yes it will be big money, but looks very interesting none the less!)
the car in the vid is no more it was broke for parts! (i think)....there was doubts on the power figure of 327!, it was said that they were dipping the clutch on the rollers and getting fallse but impressive results!......i tried to get more info on the car but with no joy, apparently it was running standard internals aswell, and standard engine management, so 327bhp would be a huge gamble and a little less likely!......but as said who knows! lol

as for throrrle bodies mate have a read of this....
