Can this be overcome using the "special" Cavalier shafts that have a straight bit? Are there any issues with strength when doing this?

Anyone got any info? Trying to reduce torque steer, and I've heard this can help. Putting 150-160lb/ft through the wheels if that helps gauge the strength.

You can get equal length kits, but you cant use the cavalier ones, the track would be too wide.

the tinyness of the shafts makes things worse, decent thickness shafts do it less

Right, no mention of kits on Migweb that I can find, except someone who has had a custom job made.

quaiffe is a better option that the shafts and similar money probably.
obviously both would be better still

Yes, already got the Quaife. Looks like it might be custom jobs, I dare say not worth the expense.

I've been told that I could use the Cav ones if I have a new ring machined in for the circlip to solve the wider track problem.

Jonix, possibly, but you would also need to convert to larger outer cv's at the same time, and you might find you ended up with not enough spline on them to actually fit the outer cv on.

I don't know what I have already. Conversion was originally done by Courtenay. In this modifying world, nothing is ever straightforward!

It's not a whole set of shafts that would need making up, you'd use the middle shaft from the Cally 16v, cav etc. then have the small that connects ot it made up to length, so it's only one short shaft that needs making up. The other side would remain the same.

LOL, if he has thin shafts now and does that he will end up with a cav bearing on one end and a nova one on the other end and they would be different thicknesses too.
Unless you got the new shaft made up with a taper to have a cav inner and nova outer.

Well I don't know what shafts I have now They are pretty fat but that doesn't help

Could make it up as a thin shaft with the 22 spline config so the cav inner CV could be used, that's what was gogin through my head anyways. OR get a plate diff like the rally cross boys
