had some tyres put on about a month back, anyway i checked the pressure today and they were all at 38psi, which i thought was high so i reduced them to 30, have i done right or wrong? the car drives better tho :)

usually when u have new tyres put on, there is some psi loss but not much. Can't account for the high psi reading; maybe the tyre shop set this without proper attention?
what size are they? if they are 17's, 31 at front and 28 at rear (non-lowered) should be fine. If your car is lowered, that's another scenario.

dont know for sure, but 38 is way over the top.

30 is a good rule of thumb. rears should be slightly less as theres less weight over them.

I run 30 front, 28 rear. Sometimes i check them and its 33psi or whatever, these things happen due to ambient temperatures tyre temp. hot air expands, so pressure rises.
