I have been offered a LET lump with ECU... but the loom is missing... F**k knows why ??? It's cheap, cos of this.

Now, is there anyway of making up a loom????

I can get a Cav GSi loom, will the plug on that loom fit the Turbo ECU ???

Does anyone have a Wiring Diagram, or could help me with the wiring ????

Or is it just a really bad idea... and i would need to buy a new loom ??????

cheers

How come ???? surely with a wiring diagram, it should be relatively straight forward ??? If i drop it in the GSi... it'll have all the XE sensors and stuff there already ?

Well, there appears to be a fair bit of a diffence between my XE and LET loom - there's also a vacuum attachment for the ECU.

If the LET is seriously cheap, you could enquire at Vaux or Autovaux?

Yer, the only thing missing is the gearbox, intercooler and loom !

Gearbox isn't a problem, can just put a f20 on... and hope it don't blow up too often lol

the intercooler, sure i can get a 2nd hand one... and just slap a bigger one on

just the loom i was worried about !

replied on Cavweb.

Don't look too difficult.

I would do it for a £100 engine.

crank and cam sensors look in different pin positions.

other than that the extra turbo sensor wires assuming you start with a M2.5 loom with oxygen sensor.

add wires for

inlet temp sensor
hot start valve
boost control
1st / reverse gear switches

Sounds like you will be missing lots of pipes but for £100...

well it's apparently supposed to be complete apart from the intercooler , transmission and loom.

So i would hope their all there... unless any of the air pipes are in the loom !! ??????
