The carbs I have are from a zzr1100 and don’t seem to have a TPS. Is this right or am I being dumb, google images doesn’t look like they have one either. Is there a way around this such as using the ‘fly by wire’ corsa c accelerator pedal sensor and adapting it to take a cable also or is it simply a way to sense the throttle on the carbs. Thanks 🙏

Does your ignition ECU need a TPS for the timing advance?

I'm not familiar with those particular carbs but I can't see a TPS and it's not unusual for some bikes not to use one. Whilst a TPS on the pedal can work any play in the cables linkage etc can cause issues so generally it isn't recommended. Assuming you're keeping the brake servo then you will need to connect all the manifold runners together and into a small collector tank in which case use a map sensor from that tank for engine load instead of a TPS.
