  1. sorry guys if this is in the wrong sub forum, what are the torque settings for a c20 let im usin 1.9 mm head gasket if that makes sense

Heavy Duty Rods Bolts for Standard Rods (9mm x 1.25mm) 2.0L 8V/16V

RB1/RB1K---31 LB/FT with ARP assembly lubricant - See separate assembly sheet
Heavy Duty Rods Bolts for Steel Rods 2.0L 8V/16V

RB3/RB3K (FOR ROD143S) (3/8” UNF) ARP 2000 bolts - See separate assembly sheet - 45LB/FT with ARP assembly lubricant

RB4 (for ROD148S) (5/16” UNF) ARP 625+ (custom age) High Spec Bolts – 30 LB/FT with ARP assembly lubricant.

NOTE: - When assembling the bolts, as of 2002, the manufacturers recommend only using ARP assembly lubricant as supplied, under the heads and on the threads and torque up to. These are lower torque settings than would have been used with normal oil. We cannot be held responsible for rod bolt stretch when an uncalibrated torque wrench has been used.

Do you torque to the same settings when using ARP bolts as if you were using standard bolts? (As per haynes) Thanks

ARP bolts need to be tightened, slackened, tightened, slackened then 3rd time tightened and left.


btw theres 2 dif torques for the heads.

ones something like 65nm or ftlb and 3 lots of 90 degrees

hi i have a problem i have a set of qed motorsport flywheel bolds,non arp but they are exactly the same as arp,can anyone tell me how much tourque please,and even the head studs are from qed and i don`t know the tourqe
