My mate has got an 1800 k. does anyone know roughly how much for throttle bodies and management, and what sort of gains to expect?

For my x16xe vaux engine i priced it up at roughly £2000,but that is with an exhaust manifold aswell,£1700 without manifold,that is for absolutely everything you need to fit,MBE ECU the lot.on my engine you get about 50bhp,but the x16xe is EXTEMELY resricted as standard!
Thats from a place called SBD Motorsport.
Dont know about the K series though.

I forgot about that place,my dad uses them,he has a concours standard lotus cortina,100bhp as standard,which was feckin fast in its day,it still puts up a good fight now,IF an WHEN he drives it,he only goes to shows in it.

A throttle bodied K-series engine is what Caterham use, so it must be a good'un.

For info I would try asking on a Lotus Elise or Caterham forum. They use the 1.8 K series in various levels of tune from standard up to 230bhp in the Caterham R500
