Just test drove an H plate cavy SRi 2.0 8v. Stunning looking car but oh dear!!
Hit the loud pedal expecting something more than what I got, slow isnt the word it seemed to take ages and felt gutless.
What BHP do these things have? I will continue posting any test drives on here to see if things get any better. I knew it wouldnt be anywhere near as quick as my valver but even so.
Time to look at GSi Cavies and see if thats any better. ;)

Should have the 130BHP, 130lb-ft engine like my Astra. But it could have the 115BHP NE engine which was fitted to late ones. Or it might just have been in a bad state of tune. Plus you've got used to the 16vGTE now!

I had a bit of a do with a lad in one of them yesterday (SRi) He tried hard, lets look at it that way.

I think they are the same engine as in my Astra, but he did not stand any chance, but he gave it a go :D :D :D

Cav weighs about 20% more to start with. Then there's maintenance. When I bought my Astra the top speed I could get on the clocks was 125. It can no go to 138, and that's mainly due to servicing and replacing suspect components.

That's 138 on the dash! Which overreads by 6-8.
