Got a eBay barg - a Superchip for my C16XE

Opened the case (note, the loom plugs are at the top of the ECU)

Located the Chip to be removed

and ready to slot in the superchip

but..............

Which way is correct?

or

I can see any unique identifer or locating pin or pin numbers (etc) to match up, as you might do with CPUs, RAM, or even loom plugs on digi dash's

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks,

Phil

From your pic I can see a fig 1 lower left side, i would suggest putting the chip in, as youve got it shown in your top picy

Under the top of the label where its nearest the edge of the chip you'll probably find a U shaped notch or a small circle - this indicates the top of the chip and with this upright the top left pin is pin 1.

Give us a closeup of the Delco chip which was under the blue cover.
One end will have a notch/moon at one end, this needs to match up with the one which is probably at the "chips" end of the SuperCHIPS chip. We'll need an end-on view of that too, as the sticker is covering the end.
