right then, i just fitted my new steering wheel, and i connected up the 2 yellow wires from the air bag, and i reconnected the battery and the air bag light came on  is there any way of resetting it? i know i can just take the bulbs out etc, but id rather do it properly. i remember a post about the ecu resetting itself after a period of no power, if i leave the battery disconnected for a while will this apply to my air bag? cheers

Connected the 2 yellows? How? If youve used an appropriate resistor the light shouldnt be on but just joining the wires doesnt work.

You'll either have to take the bulb out or fit the required resistor, theres no way round it really. Sometimes the company who sold the wheel have solutions and can supply you with the correct resistor for your application.
