Bit of a story but here we go, I changed my engine to a XE and got the dredded leaking sump gasket so the car went in to the garage to get a new one as I knew it is a **** to seal!
So it went in the did it and cracked the sump in the process so had to wait on the sump getting repaired by a specialist alloy welder! all done wallet lighter
Until i started noticing nice rainbow parterns on the road so the car went back in the garage again to get the gasket sorted. So picked car up assured that it was sealed and no leaks "he's took it a run blah blah blah" so thought to my self we'll see!
Again the sump started leaking so i left a little while as i needed the car as it was new year and christmas! during this time i got myself a oil pressure guage so fitted the kit all was working lovely apart from oil leak.
when the guage was fitted i was getting the following:
4 bar at idle cold and 4 when driving cold
then 2 1/2 at idle warm and 4 driving warm
so the car goes in again to get sump sorted and i'am promised it is sorted this time so go to pick the car up at closing time start her up alas no oil pressure so go back in and they say they'll need to wait till tomorrow to get the sump back off. so phone up next day and a bit of old gasket had fell in and blocked the pick up pipe hence no oil pressure so all sorted now except this!
4 bar at idle cold eventully not to quick going to this pressure as before it would climb to this! and 4 bar driving cold
2 bar at idle warm 2 1/2 to 3 bar warm bit concered is this a tat dodgy am i causing damage? what could cause this?
waiting on 0ddball on this probably lmao
oil pump tired? pressure relief valve sicking if so can this be cleaned ?
