You need a correctly sized sandwich plate to got between the oil filter and filter mount. I don't know if yours will need the same size as other Vaux's fitted with oil coolers as standard. Perhaps one of the aftermarket suppliers could help though:confused:

Demon Tweeks list an oil cooler installation kit for the 1.4 Corsa - £49.42, or £61.92 with braided steel hoses. Add another £16.16 for a built in thermostat. All these exclude the cooler rad itself.

Call me a pillock but I would rather sort out the problem than tryign to get by with a bodge.

You need to find ouy why its boiling then sort that rather than go for a bodge.

Is the car blowing smoke? How hots the coolant etc etc?

ok as said to try sort the prob! i have sorta sorted if not totally! i will still put the cooler in, in rally design they have the sandwich for £13 and a stat for £10:)
i was using halfords own oil (fully) now using magnatec (semi???)
and has sorta cured the prob, along with heat wrapping the exhaust (4- branch) i would like the cooler for the fact that the engine is quite often on 7000 rpm:)
