how would i fit one to a 1.4 8v (14 nv) engine??
will i be able to nick it out the cav gsi? or will it be a special order?
let me know my oil keeps boiling up
atm i have fully syn, 5w40 gonna change it tommorrow back to 10 w 40 semi! hope it works!
You need a correctly sized sandwich plate to got between the oil filter and filter mount. I don't know if yours will need the same size as other Vaux's fitted with oil coolers as standard. Perhaps one of the aftermarket suppliers could help though
Demon Tweeks list an oil cooler installation kit for the 1.4 Corsa - £49.42, or £61.92 with braided steel hoses. Add another £16.16 for a built in thermostat. All these exclude the cooler rad itself.
ok as said to try sort the prob! i have sorta sorted if not totally! i will still put the cooler in, in rally design they have the sandwich for £13 and a stat for £10
i was using halfords own oil (fully) now using magnatec (semi???)
and has sorta cured the prob, along with heat wrapping the exhaust (4- branch) i would like the cooler for the fact that the engine is quite often on 7000 rpm
