Whats the score with nova driveshafts? Are there really 2 sizes of shaft? EPC only lists the one.

There are however a different type of CV's for the 1.6 petrol and 1.5 diesel engines though. Are all the shafts the same just beefed up CV's for the bigger engines?

The Haynes manual states gte gsi drive shafts are not interchangeable with 1.0 to 1.4 lt cars but that is untrue. Vauxhall have just reorganised their parts stock holding by only stocking one type of drive shafts that fit all cars, simplyfying their stock.
The difference is whether they are made by saginaw or opel driveshafts had a different number of spines on the outer cv joints (22 or 28 splines), and if your not splitting cv joints its irrelevant, since Vauxhall sell complete drive shafts for 68 quid for trade club members its irrelevent because its easier just to by a complete drive shaft, than buy cv joints.

So it's only the CV's that are beefed up then?

The car has 1.2i shafts at the moment. Just after something more capable for a 1.6 16V turbo.
