Has anyone ever installed navigation into a nova?

If so, what do you do about the speed sensor wire?

Is there one, and if so how do i locate it?

Modern cars are easy - but i think it maybe a hassle on the Nova?

Thanks for your help everyone.

in my opinion sat nav is a big waste of time unless you spend your life driving around the country! for those times that you want to go somewhere that you dont know, a map is the far better alternative :)

Thanks for your advice jungleistmassiv

I have SatNav in my other car, as i spend most of my working day in the car - i've got to tell you that it's life changing.

I used to travel everywhere with a colleague and share the driving, the person that wasn't driving would then navigate.

However, cut backs were made, and i now travel mostly on my own.

Have you tried navigating round Manchester, Birmingham or London with an A-Z whilst trying to keep an eye on the road?

Sat Nav just takes me there door to door - everytime.

jjcymru - cheers for that.

Its Alpine Nav that i use, i just wondered if anyone had tried using an abs sensor or anything like that, it would be a better alternative to the Alpine speed pulse generator which works by magnetising a lump of your tyre.

Thanks for the input though :)

If your doing so many miles get rid of the nova.
Not exactly comfort material are they?

Alpine do sensors which you can fit to any car, imagine most manufacturers will have these available aswell.

The Nova is my second car.

I agree though JamesR - i think i will sell the Nova and get a larger car again, bought it as a town car.

I have had four novas and every time i went for a bigger car i missed the small car. Then getting back in the novas missed a larger car, doh! :)

Wasnt until i got a cavalier turbo, i realised what i had been missing.
Might be worth considering???

Agreed - had a 2 litre Cavalier once, that was a nice car.

This is my third Nova but have had lots of other different cars in between.
