Just a few questions in case anyone knows...

Can a car pass an mot with seatbelts but no seats and with no hand brake or gear stick covers?

Cheers!

my understanding of it is that the car will only fail the MOT if there is seats fitted, and seatbelts removed. i'm sure someone smart will come along in a min and correct me though! :D

Which seats? Front seats?
Mine passed with no rear seats or rear seatbelts.
Gaitors are not necessary AFAIK.

Cheers guys, we will have only one seat but all four belts for the time being. I like the look of the car with the gear stick and hand break open, looks a bit rougher so want to leave it like it.

Also ripped the bottom of the dash out, that shouldn't fail should it?

is that front or back seats? must have secure drivers seat and seat belt fitted to pass the mot. the gaiters not matter as they are cosmetic and to make it look pretty not to affect the operation of the said item.

I wondered that about the seats when I had my MOT too. I decided to put them back in because it was easier than explianing to the already "modified car hating" tester that I'd been racing the car on a drag strip.
