Basically i bought a Nova Gsi speedo and i want to put it in my astra with the current 1.4 carb engine, im assuming the speedo will read correctly as they both use the F13 gearbox,

but the block connector at the back if different so if i bought a little bit of loom with the right connector on the end would be a simple case of cuttin off the old block connector and attaching a Nova Gsi loom to the wires with the correct block connector for the speedo or are the wires different.


or is it just best to wait till i get my Nova Gsi engine put in the car and buy a whole loom and replace the old astra one?

If your gonna buy the GSI engine and loom anyway wait. I know how it feels to have a new bit of kit and have to wait to fit it but, its probably safer to use it when you have the engine and loom.
Theres always something that happens to muck it up.
