just another thread of which way i did it!

undone this bracket to let the gearbox move over slightly!

ropes attached to these 2 points gave a good balance

no scratches to the notorious tight spot even with cambelt pulley on (not auxillary)

Nice one Lee, motoring ahead with it. Shouldnt be long before its back on the road.

piston no4 out (the worst leakdown) and theres no apparent problem !!
good news is the pistons look good so £400 stays in my pocket but where is the fault! ?

Nice one Lee. That's pretty much how I did mine. The fun is getting the engine back on the gearbox lmao

Usually take the engine out the bottom but last week removed the engine and box from the top. It will be going in the way it came out. I thought i was going to have to split the gearbox from the engine but managed before i went that far. It is usually a mightmare lining it up!!!
