Got a missfire that happens only when it rains or i wash the car. It's got louvres in the bonnet which might be allowin water on2 the air filter and ignition coil and some of the loom, which might b causing the problem.
I check the ht leads, dizzy cap, coil, etc and there doesn't seem to be any moisture on anything electrical.
Does anyone have any ideas of what might b causing this?

Would a fault on the knock sensor or ignition advance (in the dizzy) cause it?

You have identifyed the problem yourself, water on the coil will cause it, either move your coil or try and shield it in someway. Rick

Just put a shield over the coil, just got to wait 4 it to rain now. Also found a hole in the cable to the dizzy, it was through to 1 of the cores, would this have caused a misfire? I'v taped it up anyway.

As u have the same car as me, what r u using to cool the charge? A chargecooler or intercooler and where did u get if from?
