Its now official my head gasket is blown!

I've had 2 quotes to get the job done, both are around £400+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'll just torch it! cos I can't afford to get it fixed.

racing snake and others

Its a 16v, but I know the garage you mean so I'll give them a try.

apparently the head will need skimming so the camshafts will have to come out it'll need a new water pump, cambelt, stretch bolts??? and a few other things if the job is to be done properly.
hence the £400

I thought about DIY but I have NO garage or tools and very limited knowledge.

I also can't have the car off the road for too long.
So I'll just have to rob a bank and pay for it I think, It's the only way I can get the money :(

I'm due a bonus at the end of the month so hopefully that will pay for it, just means the Magnex system and Leather interior will have to wait!!!!!

I know how you feel. I paid £140 for my headgasket to be replaced on my 1.4 8v engine (engine was also shafted due to broken piston ring). I brought it in garage in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.

Could of brought a mint condition low mileage 1.6 GSi engine for £140
