... he's buying an Austin A35 and wants to put a powerful mamma engine in it.... bear in mind its one of these....

lol.

but then I did find a V8 dragster version lmao!!

Seriously tho.... they use the Austin A series engine and he wants to make it quick on the cheap.... So I said maybe a Metro Turbo conversion???

Then he said he wants XE power. I dont think it'll fit tho somehow. lol.

Anyone got any pics of the engine bay???

Odd requests for info knowledge I know.

I've seen an XE in a mini before mate so I would think that it is possible!!
That was my thinking exactly. Have to get my grubby mits on it first tho so I can 'advise' my fruitloop friend.

metro turbo engine would fit into one of these no problem

afaik the engine is transverse, so bulkhead mods probably would be required. - same as mini

its not too hard though, just need 1/2 decent welding skills

let me know if he changes his mind and wants to sell it, I'd love to turbo one

he'll need to mod the petrol tank, and fit 8mm feed and return lines, as well as the metro fuel pump and regulator

not sure about the clutch, I think he'd need to retain the a35 set-up, with AP rally plate and grey diaphram
