there is a relay pack in the motor assembly in the door, its a tough job to get at, you need to take off the door card and take out the window regulator by drilling out the rivets and unscrewing the window clamp, hopefully a new or scrap relay pack will do the trick!

Right, theres nothing wrong with your window motors then, the problems with the switches. Do the swithes light up with the drivers door open? If they do, it's probably just fuse 12, a red 10 amp.

Try taking the switches out (leave them connected) and check the following wires. They should all go to a small plastic cover on the bottom of the switch pack.

Small red wire should be permanent 12 volts, from fuse 30 (30 amp).

Small black wire should be ignition 12 volts, from fuse 12 (10 amp).

Small grey wire should go to ground when any doors are opened.

Small grey/white wire, should go to ground when drivers door only is opened.

small brown wire, should be permanent ground.

Small red/grey wire, this should show +12 volts with either the ignition on, or the drivers door open. It's this wire that feeds the switch lights and makes the switches work.
