Any difference in standard Vauxhall styling.

I know the rev counter on the digi dash was different.

anything else different on the car as standard!

digi dash is the same , tape holder smaller due to shorter centre console lower half.

that is the only visible cosmetic diff apart from 16v badges.

late 8vs got the same rev counter as the 16v.
Just the badges, slightly lower and centre console thing.

The tail pipe is also another give away. 8v has an oval pipe, while the 16v has twin square slash cut.

Were fogs not an option on 8v's?
More enclosed feeling IMHO in the 16 due to the raised tunnel.
Only 16'vs were badged as such (Untill Tom released the 8v stickers)

The difference between the 2 is the lower part of the centre dash where the tapes are, Badges, leather steering wheel on the 16v, Rear disc on the 16v, the front crossmember is lower on the 16v and thats about it I think.
