I'M IN THE LATER STAGES OF FITTING A 2.016V INTO A NOVA SR, AND HAVE A 2.016V FUEL PUMP TO USE.

I WAS WONDERING WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO MOUNT/ATTACH/FIX THE PUMP AND WHAT FUEL LINES WOULD BE BEST TO USE?

ANY HELP ON THIS WOULD BE GOOD, AS I AM MISSING MY CAR!

THANKS

I mounted mine in the orginal position just behind the drives side rear wheel.

Then used GTE fuel hoses, That way if they do go they are an off the shelf part.

Have a look under where mine is and you will see a nice long bit of chassis rail, THats where they go.

There maybe a pic in the haynes book if you are lucky

Fuel pump MUST be mounted close to AND below the tank. This is because these pumps do not suck (although to a cetain extent they do) and so need a header of fuel, and if they are run at all when dry they will wear very very quickly, then fail.

The fuel lines from 8v models are different from 16v models?
I have a cav 1.6 and in the next months i'll go for the c20xe engine. I know that i must change the fuel pump. But must i change and the fuel lines-hoses?

nova 1.2i/1.4spi or later models e.g. mk4 astra etc fuel lines are prefered cause they are plastic coated copper.... and won't rust... gte/gsi/sri fuel lines rot bad and arn't very flexable
