Just wondering, im fittin an ecotrash into my nova at or a couple of days after the weekend. Do you need special engine mounts and does the engine bay/chassis need altering?

Ive got the full car seam welded as im gunna take it racing/rallying. just wondering about the bay?

Is there anything to watch out for when doing it?

Do you mean a big block XEV or a smallblock X..XE engine, the latter is a straight swap anf the former is the same fitting a redtop.

Yes, the blocks are the same so the alternator is in the same position, other than that I guess it'll go in in the normal XE conversion way

The timing belt covers are slightly different iirc so you need to get some good mounts as some foul.

I can recommend as set from Brian_S on here for £50 and that includes what you need to adjust the rear mount too.

People slag the eco engine as its onlt 136bhp,but torque isnt that far away which is the advantage of big cc's.
Plus,the eco is a million times smoother and much less noisey!
