Afternoon,

Is it possible to run an EGR valve with a Mantzel?

The car is a 1.6 16v Corsa Sport with a X16XE engine. If it is possible, is it worth doing or will it sap power?

(Would like to keep my fuel economy!)

EGR Valve isn't really all about fuel economy. It recirculates the burnt exhaust gasses back into the inlet under certain conditions. This is to reduse the NOX emissions. As the burnt gasses have no oxygen - goes into the combustion chamber, doesnt burn as well due to low oxygen levels and reduces the combustion chamber temperature. As high combustion temperatures cause higher NOX in the exhaust.
On newer Vauxhall engines I believe Vauxhall are going to get rid off them, as with low oxygen when EGR active, can cause high Hydrocarbons, which is worse than NOX. Thinkg thats right!!
