Ive never changed the plugs myself before so Ive never really had the chance to see how bad they can get.
Im just going over the Astra at the mo changing anything that looks like it needs done.
Here are some pics of the plugs. The only one which was slightly different was number 4 (gearbox side of engine). Number 4 had a sooty style build up around it and wasnt as tight in as the others.

aint got me glasses on but they look find to me mate. good working order your engine must be?

they look ok .... im no expert but a pale brown colour on the electrode is a good thing ......... but lots of things can change this depending on your motor .aslong as they are all roughtly the same and not jet black or white
they will b ok
there is normaly a page in a hanes manual that shows all the difrent problem with plugs

Yeah, the only thing I couldnt understand was that 4 was slightly coated in carbon.
Maybe it just wasnt in tight enough and some was getting out past the seal?

To be honest, they all look ok.

Looks like you need a new rocker cover gasket though. Tops of the plugs look soaked.

Yeah I probably could do with one. Its just one of a lot of little annoying things Im trying to sort.
