I've just had it brought to my attention that the Pulse 450 kit is made for an X14/16 engine and that i've got a Z16 engine.

Will the kit still fit? i've also just pulled up a few web pages and a read through TV shows courtney have just released their mantzel powerbox for the Z14/16 engines...whereas they have had the X14/16 one out for ages!


I'm worried!!!

Pulse 450 its an intake manifold which unrestricts the intake on the engine - and i'm not sure if the thing will fit my car

Z16 has Electronic throttle, so the inlet will be different in some way.

Aww thats cool then - i ditched the fly-by wire when i got the engine as long as the intake mounts correctly i'm sure it will be fine.

Also can i install this thing once it arrives or should i keep it locked in the cupboard until the day i'm going to get my remap?

It's only allowing a little improved airflow, so the standard air flow metering will adjust accordingly.

Does the Z16 have an AFM? The X14XE and X16XE use map sensor based speed density systems so no AFM. And so are utterly crap at adjusting for modifications.

Will it be worth fitting when it arrives - i really want to but i'm not sure if i should lol
