my cars a 1993 k-reg, therefore, its required to have a cat.
however, if the engine in the car was from 1991 or earlier, and doesnt require a cat, can i rid of it?

does it go on engine year or car year?

This has been talked about before, I have the same problem.

They take it from what ever is the oldest, but they would proably just see the K reg plate and go from that even though the engine is 1991.

Solution: get a new custom number plate for £250 that is J or eariler so its older than K plate :)
