Corsa B 1.0i 3cyl Electrical Problems, Help Pls!

Hi First post :).

I have a Corsa B 1.0i 3cyl. Not long ago i started to have problems with my one of my break lights not working for no apparent reason (fuse's and bulbs were all fine).

I was doing some fiddling with the contacts to try to get the lights to work and like an idiot i shorted out the brake lights! So i changed the fuse and found that the car would not start, when i attempted to start it the lights on the dash would dim. So i gave it a jump start which went fine, i ran the car for a while.

Then i went to test the break lights which were now both non functional and on top of that the indicators do not work. However the pressing the hazard light button turns all the indicators on and makes the flash.

Im at a loss to what the problem is please help!

Non related m8, but i'm interested in this as i shorted a radio wire out on a vectra. Now i got no dasboard lights, no reversing lights, no fog lights and the lights on warning buzzer thing has gone amongst other things.

The bloody radio worked fine when i changed the fuse :(

Update:

Unrelated repair aswell :(

Was checking all lights today and found number plate light not working when i pulled it out a corroded wire was flapping round (must have shorted onto other). Checks manual and low and behold number plate light has its own fuse  . Replaced it and all dash lights, beeper thing and fog lights come back. Still confused as they all have independant fuses

I know this dont relate to your prob roots, but check everything again as it might not be related to your initial problem

Check the earthing, double checked the fuses i also checked the switch thingy that is above the brake peddle all are fine. I think i may have melted a wire somewhere :| As for the indicators i think a realy may have gone is there any way to check?
