hello all , new here cos iam desperate for info to fix the van. its 2013 CDTi 1.6 sportive.

got 2 warnings on the dash board.

1. the engine light is on whilst van is running, a steady yellow . no manuals , haynes or other on this van yet. vauxhall owners manual says EGR problems? well the van has only done 15k miles and stood with battery disconnected for last 7 months

2. other problem is the stop start icon is lit yellow and is on always on the dash. The selection switch by the hand brake does nothing just has yellow icon on the switch lit all the time also.

any ideas please

Could be an6thing but mine had a start stop problem and it was a faulty clutch switch they are a known problem even the first new one had the same problem. Egr is if the van does a lot of town work and runs cold

Maybe it needs just fault codes cleared, could be simple as that. EML stands for various faults and start/stop fault is connected to that.

worth noting that this question was asked over 4 1/2 years ago, I would think the issue has been sorted by now.
