I'm currently fitting a V6 in a MK1 Astra and I only have Vectra B v6 shafts. I see someone mentioned they are too long.
On the offside is it just the shaft or the intermediate shaft as well that is longer ? Just wanting to know what to buy.
I guess the CV joint is not where the difference is? Thanks a lot.

depends on which gearbox you are using,is it the one that was in the mk1 or a new box from the v6? but just for reference my mk4 can take both its original astra shafts or the vectra b shafts which i currently using on the astra f23 box

You will need to use V6 intermediate shaft Vec/Cav/Cally with a Cav/Cally outer shaft. As you say the Vec outer rh shaft is too long. Fitted a V6 in my wife's Astra mk3 so know the ups & downs of the installation process ;)

For lh shaft use Astra/Cav/Cally.
