also got another problem, driving at 30ish..put foot to the floor to speed up quick! car(cav gsi) splutters but if put foot down slowly its ok. tried air flow meter but thats ok. told it might be the cat. anyone had the same problem? feels like wrong fuel mixture or something restricting the engine ect.

just put a k&n on it....noticed it after that really. thought it would have gone better with no messing about putting k&n's on.....
does anyone have a link to the breather mod then.

better try that.

to be honest some of them just dont agree with induction kits all together, whether you do the breather mod or not. its tod o with the hot air entering the filter instead of the cold air that the standard box and snorkel would feed it. you'd be better refitting the standard box and putting in a panel filter. maybe even drill the bottom of it out for some induction noise.

Yeah, try puting the OE back on instead of the K&N......see if it still does it.
Have to say my SRi doesn't give any grief with the K&N.....cold air fed from bottom of the bumper and original feed for air box

you may want to reset the ECU by removing the negative off the battery for an hour, then drive it again

an aldo clean the idle control valve
