My brother and me want to bore a normal 1600 to 1800cc.
He wants to use an old 1600 block cause it's smaller then the 1800 block.
He/we expect it will drive better in a corsa then the 16V he drives now.
Less top speed but better cornering. (he drives slaloms)
He has a brand new 1800 block out of a total crashed saffiera that had run about 40 miles.
The main bearings have the same part number so we only have to get it bored.
Only question is what about the hight of the piston?
The 1800 crankshaft is said to have a bigger stroke and we haven't checked the numbers of the rods......the pistons are different too (most likely, not checked).
I'm willing to bet that some one has already done a project like this and I'd like all the info we can get.
We assume that with a slightly wilder cam and maybe a little work on the head it could come to an output of max 140 bhp, maybe 150 with the extra headwork?
