So I know that there is a ton of post about this, but I cant find a single one addressing my question. I have a rebuilt c20let engine with both xe cams in it. I know for at standard turbo the exhaust cam from the xe is useless, but got a somewhat big T3 turbo that is being put in it, so the xe exhaust cam will come handy there. But anyway, my problem is Ive ordered a pair of verniers to adjust the cams. I have found tons and tons of threads saying retard inlet 7 degree and advance exhaust 2 degree, but are these degrees on the crank or on the vernier itself?

What i thought was line all the marks up to normal marks and with belt on and vernier bolts loose turn crank backwards 7 degree with a degreewheel on and then lock the vernier? But do people do it different? Like marking everything up to original marks and with belt on and vernier loose just turn cam and use the markings on the vernier?

Hope people understand my questions and that my english isnt rubbish. :)))
