Hi,

Ive got an astra 1.7TD isuzu engine and Ive noticed recently that its leaving
oil patches on the road so I looked at the engine after running it abit and I can see oil dripping down the left side of the engine, I think somewhere between the engine and Cambelt black plastic cover. I put some paper under the car and left overnight, it seems that the leak either stopped or dropped very little oil as I saw about 5ml of oil on the paper.

Does anyone have an ideas on what could be causing this leak? and if its an expensive job?

Cheers
Mac

Yea, but it dont leak oil, except if you use the copper sump plug washer ( hemp string sorts that out )

Havnt a clue whats up with yours.

Are all the sump pan bolts done up proper

i'd say its a seal, chances are if it is 'should' be cheap... it will be agro to do as the belts will have to come off, so u have to lock up the timing to do it. not easy, but probly cheap.
