Thanks my friend.. I did some changes the last month... I install the right one exhaust camshaft the same code with the intake..

So the new camshaft setup is 4600888 from catcams everywhere..

The new exhaust camshaft is 8 deegres in duration more than the old one (advertised ans in 1mm duration) and 0,2mm more actual lift.


The engine happilly performed a better from 2800 rpm till 7600rpm but from the 7600 up to the revlimiter at 8500rpm it's about the same..

So the next think I am improving is the intake...

A bigger intake plenum in capacity and a soft increasing in the intake runners...

After this step I will modify also the primaries and secondaries of the btb type manifold with stepped design.. and probably I will de-cat the exhaust system... Hope some day to reach the 300bhp...

Some photos of the version 3 of the intake. As I said bigger in diameter runners and bigger plenum (800ml more).

So the new add's are the exhaust cam, the intake manifold, and the next step probably the decat.

Also I ordered 2.25" pipe to increase the secondaries of my exhaust manifold in the future, and later will do also the same on primaries stepped from 47,5mm to 50.8mm.

So basically most changes was in the engine peripherals.. plus some +12mm wheel spacer I used in the rear wheels, that reduced understeer in close turns and increased the traction in inner wheel so the quaife differential work easier.. Front arb now is 16mm (new style)

At this point, I think you'd be well advised to look at some proper race clothing - it's fast enough for a big crash and possible fire and track days don't usually have the best of crash support crews.

My personal best with my tyres AD08 Yokohama was 1.32.28. In video you seen the lap time was at 1.33.06.

It was my first time driving my car there, so with good practice it could improoved a lot especially with better semislicks - or slick tyres.

As for the times it depends the tuning of the car and from the driver..

But in tuned form some cars are very very faster.

The fastest evo's going around at 1.22 - 1.25.. A peugeut 106 with 2 litre N/a engine 245ps with 18" slicks and custom double wishbones front and rear the time is near to 1.25.

The same for a honda civic EG with k20 tuned engine very expensive suspension 240/610/17 slicks..

Some westfields with duratec 230hp engine or with s2000 engine going at 1.22 -1.26. Formula renault 2.0 litre is near to 1.17 - 1.18. Some radicals also near there with the powerfull engines.. A friends Mr2 with 2zze engine with 205hp, aero dynamics, good suspension, wide toyo 888r tyres and good driving stops the time to 1.28.5.

It wasn't a reflection on your driving, if that's what you were thinking, as a mechanical fault, puncture, another driver misjudging your speed, etc, could all cause you to have a problem.

I see that the lap times I sent you is before 2010, and the kurbs was a little more difficult in the past.. So I think the track circuit is about 1-1,5sec faster now. So calculate like you minus 1-1,5sec from the list of the cars for more actual results.
My weight unfortunately is something I dont know yet, but I am calculated near to 1000kg.

I saw that you are running the car with the original airbox and probably with K&N panel filter. Have you modified the airbox somehow? And how you feel the car with that way on the trackdays can you compare it ot cone filter with good cold air intake?

and using a air intake trumpet like this in the beggining.. (Not exactly the same)

I never tried with a cone filter, but I will try soon but will not use cold air feed. I will put the cone filter near to the fog light so will take alone all the cold air it needed.
As they do in the CAI systems kits in honda.
