I have a 93 Calibra turbo 4x4 (C20LET) and need to change the accessory (A/C, PWR steering, Alternator....) belt due to a cut. After a few minutes of frustration, it appears I have to take the motor mount off to bring the belt up and around the water pump pulley. Am I correct or am I missing something obvious???

My mechanic did the last change when the cam belt was changed, don't recall what he had to do. Anyone have any ideas?????

you dont need to take it off fully, just jack up car, take wheel off use a trolley jack under the sump to support the weight of engine and remove the mount bolts from the body, lower the trolley jack slightly (and slowly) just enough that you can slip the belt through.

reverse the procedure to refit:cool:
