Had my Nova out for a bit of a thrash today. Sometimes it was pulling as it should, then as I was just driving along normally, i.e 5th gear 60mph, the ECU light would come on for a few seconds and then go out again. Also, every now and again, it'd go into limp home mode, revving to about 4500RPM and then spluttering/popping. It seemed to do this if you planted your foot to the floor quickly, if you pressed the pedal down gently, it would rev past 4500, relatively ok. Does this sound knock sensor related?
Also, can anyone tell me how you can wire in a diagnostics plug to an Astra GTE 16v wiring loom, or explain how to get the ECU light on the dash to flash out fault codes. Is it as simple as grounding one of the pins on the ECU plug?

Any help much appreciated :)

Cheers mate. It doesn't say how to wire in the diagnostics stuff, or which wire to earth to get the codes to flash on there though :)

Anyone else have any ideas? :)
