Right we have finally got my motor running (Cheers Rich) and it runs sweet as a nut.
It has a map for standard cams/pistons etc at th emoment and idles at 900 rpm.
It now has 278 / 284 cams, pocketed pistons and an overbore.

Can I get a base map for it to run safely, or will it be fine? I need to run it in for 1000 miles, before I can get it mapped properly you see!

I have a MBE 967 ECU and Easimap software.

HELP!

Booger!

Is it a case of getting my mits on it and uploading it to my ECU, via Easimap?

Adjusted how?
I cant really rev it passed 3500, so there is no point getting it mapped fully!

I have upped the fuel pressure to 3.5 bar as per sbd recommendations too.

So would you recommend not running it without the 185 base map?

phone sbd and ask if they will send you a copy of the base map they sell with their 180 kit. I'm sure when you explain to them why you have had to rebuild this engine they would be sympathetic to your needs.

where were you gonna get it mapped properly when run in?

why not get it run in on the rollers? wont take long and you'll know the engine is fine

Get it on the rollers now and mapped up to 3500rpm, then you only have to spend half as much on there getting the rest mapped later on.

Or get yourself a wideband lambda sensor to monitor it with, or better still a decent ECU setup than can run closed loop!

Right!
Sent my ECU to SBD for Steve to fettle.
Said it would cost £120 for a base map!

He did however state that they will take the circumstances into consideration and let me know when they receive it.

Dunno where to get it mapped, was thinking of Mech Repairs?

if you were closer id come and do it for you, but hey ho.

ill just supply the lead instead lol. Although you could download the map, email it to me, ill bump the numbers up a bit if you can supply logged data, you could be ok that way.
