i have recently re-arranged the front end of my 2.0 litre nova and as a replacement have found a mint 1.2 spin. could anyone tell me if the fuel pump from the 1.2 will deliver enough pressure/flow to fuel the two liter lump (red top). i dont think it will but it would be handy if it does

No, the 1.2i pump won't be strong enough at all. MPi systems run at a much higher pressure than SPi.
I could be wrong, but I think the SPi pumps run at 1.0bar and the MPi pumps run at 2.0bar (I'm sure someone will correct that if it is wrong:))

Cheers,
Kieran

Just had a look in the Astra Haynes manual to double check the pressures, It states that with the pressure regulating vacuum hose connected, the SPi system produces 0.76bar and the MPi, 3.0bar, so there is quite a large difference there :)

Cheers,
