And [B]my[B] way would be wait till everyone has said "i'll do it" then put it out to a vote of the peeps in the region, then you can pick who you'd like to do the job..
One month north, one month south is probally fairest but then if every month everyone who shows up comes from the same area then it would make sense to have it near them in future.

I don't see a problem with people doing their own thing as normal but more organisation when it comes to shows/convoys and interregional meets are where I'd try to improve.

Starting to sound like a bloody polititian lmao

Dan - I'd been putting off sending your cover until earlier when my postie delivered somethin' a day after I bought I thought it would be safe, should be there by saturday at the latest.

True but thats the kinda thing a RC can work out, if its all peeps from the north comming then you move the meet up to and close to them..

    Re: This Region is DEAD!

alrite all, havnt been on for a while, been busy with new job and new family etc (plus i made the mistake of selling my corsa to buy an alfa romeo - sorry!)

anyway, ive read a few posts in this section, and was wondering if anything has actually been sorted yet by our new 2 ROs? ie, convoy points for shows, monthly meeting location, are the west midlands meetings actually finally going to be in the west midlands now? and not only convienent for the ROs (and fair for all!)

as i own a local car club myself, i know near enough decent location there is to know for any kind of event, so if i can help...

btw, i want to be looking to sell the alfa in the new yr to buy another vaux, not sure what yet though!

    Re: This Region is DEAD!

West mids meets have always been in the west mids. The problem with meet location is that regions tend to be quite large. For example, Birmingham is in the West Midlands. But so it Stoke. Meets have always been in pretty good locations IMO, and turnout was always pretty good.

    Re: This Region is DEAD!

I love the West Midlands, best place in England I would say.... Plenty here to do for all the members!
But Stoke and Birmingham ain't either of them, saying that.... Bassetts Pole is a great location for a summer meet as well as Milford Common and Cannock Chase. The world is your oyster when you have been organising meets/rolling road days/parties for as many years as I have!!

I agree with Bassetts Pole, we used to have Land Rover meets there. Until we were told we weren't welcome any more.

I ring the people who run the pub, when we have a meet organised.... It helps them organise themselves for a big crowd!
