anyone help me on the value of parts

last year my garage got robbed. it was a little garage were i used to keep all my parts.[aldins cave for red top and let parts] i have had nova 16vs and turbos aswell corsa and over time you collect parts and panels well i had loads a few redtop engines+ gboxs, boxs of starters and altnators etc. i am [was] building a nova turbo at the time and all the engine ancillarys were in there with the freshly coated running gear and chrome bits have a list of the other parts. but it hard to put a price on them all for solicitor and he advised to get indpendent valuation's from a few places from a vauxhall breakers or specialist those type of places can any one help it would be aprecaited thanks ben

Can you use examples off here from the for sale adds, buy it nows on ebay etc?

going to find it hard to prove the bits that were stolen with out receipts. Had this problem trying to value the stock i have in the workshop as loads are spares or work in progress e.g. purchace a C20LEt for £400 + New Pistons £250 + gaskets £30 ect, if the engine is sloten i can't claim £1000 for a high modded engine but just the parts i have £680.

IT IS HARD TO PUT A PRICE AINT TO BOTHERED ABOUT MOST THE STUFF. BUT I BUILDING A NOVA TURBO. HAS BEEN A ON GOING PROJECT FOR A FEW YEARS. ALL THE POWDER COATED AND CHROME BITS PLUS THE TRICK BITS I HAD MADE AND SPENT TIME MORE THAN MONEY ON. WAS ONLY SAVIN FOR THE PAINT THEN IT WOULD OF BEEN THE BIG REBUILD BUT EVERYTHING GOT TO BE DONE AGAIN THEIVIN BA##ARDS WELL GUTTED NOW BEENIN MESSED ABOUT BY INSURANCE WOULDN'T MIND BUT THER WAS MORE IN THERE THAN I CLAIMIN FOR. GOT LOTS OF PROOF OF PURCHASES BUT THEY JUST TRYIN TO FOB ME OFF. I HAVE BEEN COPIN ADS OFF HERE AND EBAY AND THAT TO GIVE AN IDEA OF VALUE YOU BUT AS ABOVE ONE ENGINE THAT WENT I HAD REBUILT SO RATHER THAN BEENIN WOTH £250 IT OWED ABOUT £800 BUT THE CRANK GRIND,GAS FLOWED HEAD, FULL GASKET SET,SEALS WATER PUMP BELT TENSOINERS AND NEW PISTONS FROM ME MATE AT THE ENGINE CENTRE CANT BE PROVEN THEY BA##ARDS MUST BE LAUGHIN AT ME I'LL FIND THEM
