    Need a little expert help...

I know I may have posted this in the wrong forum so apologies if I have

Basically I've got a let and an Astra but not together! I've got someone to fit it for me but he's away this week on holiday which means I've only got the week before PV to get it done. I know it's probably enough time to get it done but the fact that this bloke has never done an engine conversion before is worrying me slightly. He is a fully trained mechanic who has been in the business for a while though. The garage itself has a few four poster ramps and all the tools you could possibly need, except the expertise!

I was wondering if theres anybody in the West Midlands area who's clued up on c20let's that wouldn't mind giving a helping hand? I know everyones busy getting their own cars sorted and ready for PV. It's just I've had my Astra off road now for 7 months getting it done before the 5th June - it's practically all there except the engine

If anybody could spare a few hours even - that would be massively appreciated and rewarded at PV (free anyone?). Drop me PM if you can help me out.

    Cheers

    J.

As long as you have all the parts then it wont be too hard, do your research on mig as its been done many a time, see if you can find someones shopping list or something. Then check and double check all the parts are there for the conversion.
Also if poss have a car ready for if you need to pop to vaux/halfords/motorfactors/mcdonalds when you suddenly find a bit missing or broken half way through.

Mainly the electrics and setting up really Gaz. I was thinking of physically dropping it in there this weekend and securing it all in and leaving all the other stuff for him to do when he gets back off holiday.
Theres still a good chance it could get all done next week but like I said I think he's going to struggle with the electrics and setting up.
Do you do much work on your Cally yourself?

I have got all the bits for the conversion - I bought it all together and we've checked to make sure everything is there (no doubt something will be missing/broken though like you said, always is ).
Thats why I have bought a runabout Punto... its not just a style thing y'know! lmao lmao
