Angry corsa c20xe engine bay problem

    Hello

i have a c20xe in a corsa b all running fine etc but was running a eco pipe and adapter so i got a powercap (mantzel one) tryed fitting it and its to big for the gap got told to bang the back of the bay, scuttle bay area so i did with a mate and 1 hour or so later no good frustrated and a dented up back panel later still doesnt fit now ive decided its definately gonna need cutting say a square section now whats the best way to go about this? I was just gonna cut and weld another plate in which wont have the ridges etc in? Or is there somthing that i could do which would look better? As i still want it to look decent

Is there anything i can do while ive already got the grinder and welder out that the corsa will benifit from? its gonna be a track strip shlag lol

    Any ideas or thoughts welcome

    thanks

I cut out a section and used rubber edgeing strip although idealy you should reroute your brake lines

The corsa I bought had been cut and bodged like that with out the pipes re-routed. Not the best idea but worked with the power cap.
